Traditional Chinese Medicine
Therapies offered:
Acupuncture
The Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of very fine,
sterilized, single-use needles throughout the body at specific
locations called acupoints. Stimulation of these acupoints with
the needles balances the body's energy, promoting healing in the
body. Moxa Therapy
Moxabustion, or moxa therapy, is the burning of the herb mugwort (artemesia
vulgaris) which is a part of traditional Chinese medicine. I use
moxa therapy often with Acupuncture to facilitate healing, increase
energy, improve blood circulation, strengthen the qi and blood, warm
and soothe the meridians.

Cupping
Cupping is a technique that
is useful in the treatment of local qi or helping to improve
blood circulation, and is usually performed as an alternative to
acupuncture. Small, round cups are warmed by a burning taper,
the cup is quickly placed over the area being treated. Once the
oxygen in the cup is gone a vacuum is created between the skin
and the cup. The pressure from the vacuum encourages the flow of
qi and blood in the area beneath the cup.
